Stephen A. Romanelli
Memorial Scholarship Fund
Stephen A. Romanelli was a 2013 graduate of Dublin Jerome High School whose life tragically ended prior to the start of his freshman year at The Ohio State University where he planned to study chemical engineering. Stephen graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a member of the National Honor Society, a CAP mentor, a Miracle League Buddy and an Ohio Capital Conference Scholar Athlete Award Winner. He was also a 4 year member, 3 year varsity, Jerome Football Player and 4 year member, 2 year varsity, Celtic Baseball Player.
For all of Stephen's scholastic and academic successes and accolades his true legacy comes from the person Stephen was and the impact he was able to have on others during his very short time with us. His contagious smile, that never seemed to leave him, and radiant spirit were felt throughout the Dublin community and beyond. He was a shout out in the hallway to a fellow student who he felt needed a friend, he was a spirited teammate always there to offer encouragement, he was a genuine caring friend, he was a loving son, brother and grandson.
Stephen's legacy is one of going beyond what is expected, it is one of truly understanding what is important, it is one of making a difference in someone else's life, it is one of knowing the power of a smile!
